Reports

Earlier to publishing AAIB’s 1st Sustainability Report in 2010, we began annually reporting on our social and environmental performance as well as our community investments since we joined a cluster of international frameworks among which are the UN Global Compact in 2005, the London Benchmarking Group (LBG) on 2007, and the Equator Principles (EP) in 2009. Our disclosure is a commitment towards our stakeholders, as well as to show our progress and contribution.

In 2018, AAIB joined the United Nations Environmental Program Finance Initiative (UNEP FI) to officially adopt and enact its guidelines into our activities and operations. Later on, AAIB collaborated with UNEP FI and 29 other banks worldwide to draft and introduce the Principles for Responsible Banking (PRB). The Principles identify the banking sector’s roles and responsibilities in achieving national and global goals implicated in the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the Paris Climate Agreement. The final version of the six Principles was introduced to banks to commit to in 2019, where AAIB has become a founding signatory of the Principles.
