Arab African International Bank commemorated its 60th anniversary in the presence of its success partners at a gala Suhur event held at the Grand Egyptian Museum, symbolizing the bank’s rich heritage and unparalleled excellence over the years. Mr. Tamer Waheed, Vice Chairman and Managing Director of the Arab African International Bank, commenced the event with an inaugural speech, extending gratitude to all attendees, most notably His Excellency the Governor of the Central Bank of Egypt, “I would like to express my sincere appreciation to His Excellency the Governor of the Central Bank of Egypt for honoring us with his presence today, as he joins us not in his capacity as the Governor of the Central Bank, but as a distinguished alum who has steered this institution through two decades of its journey to its current standing.”
In his speech, Mr. Tamer Waheed stated, "Many are familiar with the founding date of this bank, but few truly grasp the depth of its history, a history certainly deserving of contemplation. This historical backdrop forms the foundation of its essence, its present, and its future."
The ceremony showcased the bank's evolution and successes over the past 60 years since its establishment in 1964, highlighting notable milestones and robust business outcomes since the beginning of the millennium.
The celebration was attended by AAIB success partners and over 3,000 employees and numerous executive and non-executive leaders of the bank
