AAIB Leads Blood Donation Campaign with Full Employee Participation to Promote Social Solidarity and Support the Healthcare Sector

Cairo, June 16, 2025 – As part of its comprehensive vision for corporate social responsibility and in alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the Arab African International Bank (AAIB) launched an extensive blood donation campaign in collaboration with the National Blood Transfusion Services under the Ministry of Health and Population.

The campaign was organized to coincide with World Blood Donor Day, observed annually on June 14, reflecting AAIB’s commitment to fostering social solidarity, supporting the healthcare sector, and contributing to the strategic goals of the Egyptian state.

The campaign took place at the bank’s headquarters in Garden City, Cairo, as well as at its Alexandria branch, with the active participation of employees from various departments and branches. AAIB employees enthusiastically took part in the campaign, showing their commitment to helping provide safe blood for patients in need.

Their voluntary participation reflects the bank’s core values of solidarity and social responsibility. On this occasion, Mr. Tamer Waheed, Deputy Chairman and Managing Director of AAIB, stated: “This initiative is part of our ongoing strategy to promote the concept of corporate social responsibility.

We firmly believe that the role of banking institutions goes beyond financial services. It includes making meaningful contributions to key sectors of society—especially healthcare, which has a direct impact on citizens’ lives and the development of Egypt’s healthcare system. “This campaign marks a significant milestone in a series of community initiatives adopted by the bank to promote social cohesion and a culture of giving.

It contributes to the availability of safe blood supplies and raises awareness of the importance of regular blood donation as a cornerstone of health security in Egypt. With this initiative, AAIB reaffirms its unwavering commitment to supporting humanitarian and national causes and continuing its role as a leading development-driven institution that blends banking excellence with social awareness.

Arab African International Bank was established by Special Law as a Joint Venture between the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) and Kuwait Investment Authority (KIA) and was incorporated in 1964 as Egypt’s first Arab multinational Bank.
